Dr. Stephanie Loy was born in Effingham, Illinois. She attended Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2007.
Dr. Loy studied optometry in St. Louis, Missouri, at the University of Missouri – St. Louis College of Optometry. While attending UMSL, Dr. Loy earned many awards for clinical and academic achievement, including the Paragon Optical Contact Lens Clinical Research Award and the Vision Service Plan Scholarship Award. She was also one of six students selected from across the midwest who were awarded the 2010 Heart of America Contact Lens Society Student Scholarship Grant.
Dr. Loy graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2011. She is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society, the American Optometric Association, and the Illinois Optometric Association
Dr. Loy returned to her home state of Illinois upon graduating from optometry school. She practiced in Mattoon, Illinois, for three years before joining Gailey Eye Clinic in 2014, where she provides primary Eyecare, including routine eye exams, contact lens services, treatment and management of ocular diseases, and post – operative care.
In her free time, Dr. Loy enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially with her husband and their two pugs. She is an ardent crafter, and she enjoys baking, especially gourmet cupcakes, for family and friends.
