LASIK is available for patients that are nearsighted, farsighted, and/or have astigmatism. Ideal LASIK candidates generally have good overall eye health and have a stable vision prescription that is not rapidly changing. Additionally, LASIK patients are typically young enough where cataract formation has not occurred and is old enough for the eyes and prescription to have stopped changing significantly (typically 19 to 25 years of age). To find out if you’re a potential candidate for LASIK, take our short quiz below.

I felt at ease during the entire process-the preliminary exams and testing, surgery and post-operative. It is an awesome feeling that after wearing glasses or contacts since age 6 and now age 42, I am able to go without any corrective lenses. I enjoyed the process and actually feel younger as a result!
