Dr. Siya Huo was raised in Medina, Ohio. She attended college at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY where she graduated in 2008 with a Bachelors of Arts in Biological Sciences. She then went on to obtain her Doctor of Medicine degree at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine in 2013, where she spent a dedicated research year participating in clinical research in retinal imaging.
After medical school, Dr.Huo moved to Chicago for internship at the University of Chicago (Northshore) followed by ophthalmology residency at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary at University of Illinois Chicago. She then moved to the west coast to complete a medical retina fellowship at UCLA Jules Stein & Doheny Eye Institute prior to returning back to the midwest to start practice in 2018.
Dr. Huo’s clinical interests include the diagnosis and treatment of age related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinal vein occlusion, and hereditary retinal degenerations. She is especially interested in advanced multimodal imaging of retinal disease and participating in retina clinical trials. She also enjoys offering comprehensive ophthalmology care to her patients.
In her free time, Dr.Huo enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, and spending time with family and friends.
